The client needed a cleanroom to test high-accuracy lenses, but excessive reflections from the walls in their existing workshop skewed their data. They also had to pass the Saudi SASO Modular cleanroom Certification, and the deadline was extremely tight: they had to be operational before Ramadan, or their orders would be delayed until the following month.
The Challenges & Specific Needs:
- Location: A corner area measuring 10 meters by 6 meters within the existing factory floor space.
- Key Requirement 1 (Anti-Reflection): Walls must possess anti-reflective properties (hence the specific requirement for black matte wall panels).
- Critical Requirement 2 (Extreme Heat): During summer, indoor temperatures in Saudi Arabia can soar above 50°C (122°F), meaning all seals must not soften or cause air leakage.
The Boben Modular Solution:
We, Boben Modular Cleanroom Fabricators, prefabricated the black matte wall panels and custom-ordered high-temperature resistant silicone seals (rated up to 60°C).
Local workers had no experience installing modular cleanrooms, so we provided two hours of video guidance daily for three consecutive days. For instance, we instructed them to align black wall panels to prevent light leakage and to wire the air shower to match Saudi Arabia’s 220V voltage. Including the installation of pass-through windows and commissioning, the project wrapped up in just seven days.
- The Results: Including the installation of the pass-through box and final system debugging, the entire project was completed in just 7 days
- On the day of testing, the particle counter measured ISO Class 7 cleanliness, and the SASO inspectors passed it immediately.
The particle counter recorded ISO 7 standards that day, and the SASO inspectors passed the audit on the spot. The client’s factory manager later messaged on WhatsApp: “We were worried we wouldn’t finish before Ramadan, but boben’s remote oversight proved more meticulous than our local workers—now we’re testing 30 more high-precision lenses daily and can’t keep up with orders.”
